Owen Hargreaves is clearly England's top midfielder these days. His goal against Arsenal is a showcase of his gift, and he performed an outstanding display against AS Roma in the European Champions League. Hargreaves is not the best technical player in the world, but he covers it up with his never ending work rate on the pitch. That's why I created a wallpaper with a "Busted Theme" for him, cos' Hargreaves will work and bust his tail off for any team he represents.

Park Ji Sung was one of the best player in the European Champions League 2008 quarter final showdown with AS Roma at the Olympico. His hard work rate has always been the one thing that keep him hook up with the fans. Park may lose the ball a couple of times, but dammit he will chase after the ball like a dog on the park. Never quit working and running earned him the nick name "Two Lung Park". And for that, I think our best Asian player deserves himself a wallpaper of his own.

Patrice Evra is definitely English Premier League best left back these days. Started his career in a minor league in Italy, Evra is now one of the most respected full backs who posseses good defensive and offensive ability. His fast paced playing and his one-two cuts playing style is the inspiration of this dynamic looking wallpaper. I used displacement filter to make the look as if it was made from a painting and then some blurs on the background to make a "fast moving" effect on it, so far one of my favourite works, hope you like it also.

Rio Ferdinand is one of Nike's representatives of the "Kick Racism" campaigns. Born from a mixed race, Rio is the perfect ambassador for the anti-racism campaign. That's why I'm making this black and white wallpaper for Rio. I think it really represent him and what he does off the pitch. And just by chance I found a pic on the net showing Rio passionately screaming. I always love to work with a picture that has a lot of expression and passion in it, it just makes the wallpaper making proccess a lot easier cos' a pic can really tell a thousand words.

Nemanja Vidic is one of the, if not, the most feared defender in the world. Vidic's no nonsense defensive and offensive style during free kicks has made him an Old Trafford's cult hero in such a short time, much like Gabriel Heinze (now in Real Madrid) before him. Inspired by his charisma and mentality, I made his wallpaper a unique one. I gave him that "zombie" look, because when he plays, he puts his "cold" game face on. And I also gave some blood effects running in the background cos' I once saw him played, busted his head wide open and then continue to play, ignoring the blood running down his forehead. van Der Sar Reigning Wallpaper

Edwin van der Sar reigns between the posts for Manchester United. By that, it's his job to stop the rain of shots coming from the opponent. Nothing better to depicted van der Sar's job for United by giving him a "Raining/Reigning" themed wallpaper ("Rain" rhymes with "Reign", get it ?). I also chose a green coloured themed for our beloved Holland Goalkeeper, cos' like on the pitch, the goalkeeper wears a different coloured themed jersey. And on the background I put a picture of Edwin saving a shot at practice. I only wish Edwin would yell more like in the picture, sometimes he was just too quiet for a goalkeeper.

You don't think I'd forget about Gary do you ? It's surprising how not many Gary Neville's wallpaper out there considering he is our proud captain. Gary's passion for his team often gets him into trouble, like when he was fined for over-celebrating at Anfield some years ago (for f*ck's sake FA, the dude was showing his passion !!!!). But that's the reason why, he was loved and made into a cult hero by the Old Trafford regulars. And for that I made this fiery, fury, passionate themed wallpaper. Ryan Giggs is an old school player for Manchester United. Played for the club for more than 15 years, but the old winger still have a lot in the tank to give. Ever since his debut for Manchester United, Giggs was always well known for his speed and pace. I gave the beloved winger a bit of motion blur combined with a fire effect to give him the "Speed" character he has.

This is also an old school type wallpaper, I didn't use too many images and fancy effects on it, but for you who grew up in the 90's this is the style of wallpaper that was "in" those days. I also gave a bit of a personalized accent into it by adding the Ryan Giggs fans chants lyrics on the bottom right side.

I'm going Pop-Art with this Cristiano Ronaldo wallpaper. I think if you are a soccer gaming fan, it's quiet obvious where do I get my inspiration from, it's from the EA FIFA Street games from some years ago where Ronaldo became the cover for the game. I'm not a really big fan of the current pop culture however, but Ronaldo's youth and energy can only be represented by giving his first wallpaper a "pop" touch.

I mean, c'mon, you gotta admit that the kid's popularity on and off the pitch wheter for his footballing skills or his looks is quiet well-known among women, gays and teenagers. Ronaldo has become some sort of a sex, multi-cultural pop symbols for Manchester United in the early 21st century, just like Beckham back in the late 90's.

Wayne Rooney Wallpaper

When I saw the Nike ads featuring a gory Wayne Rooney I immediately fell in love with it. I really don't have to put a lot of work into this wallpaper really, cos the default image I used from the Nike ad was already good enough to represent the hard-man character of Rooney himself. Rooney's photo in the Nike ad was like "300" meeting "Braveheart".

So then I give it a bit of twist by adding inferno's vibe into it, after all we are called the Red Devils anyway. This wallpaper I think really shows how when Rooney prepares to unleash hell on everyone on our path to glory, and also shows guts and edgyness into its character.

OK, I know what you're probably thinking : "Wow, some big-ass Manchester United logo with just some simple outer glow effects on it, way to make a wallpaper jack...". But hold down to your horses for one second and think it this way; ever got that feeling that when you're looking around for some Manchester United desktop wallpaper that won't intertwine with your desktop icons; the time when you just want the wallpaper to be just fit on whatever or how much desktop icon you got on your PC ? But in the end all you found was lots of Manchester United wallpapers with for some reason the design just doesn't fit your desktop.

Sometimes the Ryan Giggs face was blocked by your "My Computer" or "Internet Explorer" icon, sometimes the cool effects was not visible when you apply the wallpaper cos too many of your desktop icons block it. I think you get what I'm saying. Sometimes I do just wanna find a Manchester United wallpaper with a big ass badge logo on it on some plain white or red background. Simplicity sometimes is the best answer to any design art-work.

That's why I choose this simple design as my first Manchester United wallpaper to be featured. And oh yeah, don't worry, yes I have those Photoshop skills for more complicated design as you can see in my next and future wallpapers.
